Waste Treatment Facilities are Public Services buildings in Tropico 6. They reduce the pollution of other buildings within range, based on their effectiveness.
They are a modern improvement of the Garbage Dump, though they have smaller range. Their major upside is the Scrapheap Scrounging upgrade and that they don't pollute their immediate vicinity, meaning you can have a pollution free island if you replace all Garbage Dumps with Waste Treatment Facilities and strategically place them to maximise coverage. Additionally, they can provide some extra electricity through the alternative work mode.
