Theaters are entertainment buildings in Modern Times (Tropico 4) that take the place of Cabarets. They expand the functions of a cabaret; though they're still able to show cabaret-style shows, theaters can also be used to put on non-erotic plays. Tourists of all types, except for child tourists, enjoy attending theaters, including slob and eco tourists who don't attend cabarets.
Work Modes
- Comedy: The theater presents light-hearted comedies that everyone enjoys, increasing the service quality by 10.
- Tragedy: The theater presents profound dramas and deep, emotional plays, forcing visitors to think. There's a chance that visitors to the theater will be inspired to become Intellectuals.
- Burlesque: Going back to its cabaret roots, the theater presents bawdy and lewd stage shows. Only men will attend these shows but the profits from them will double.
