The Sloop is a ship available in Tropico 2. It is the strongest vessel that can be built from the Boatyard and is ideal for short range cruises, able to carry more cannons than a Brigantine while having the same crew numbers and is faster. However, at full crew, its effective range is shorter than a Schooner, it can only cruise in sectors adjacent to the pirate haven. Overall, the ship is a very good compromise between cost and power.
