Radar dishes are media buildings in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4. Strategically, radar stations are most useful on islands under threat by rebels or foreign superpowers, since they can be used to delay subversive activities and their other two work modes give rather small benefits for the costs involved. There can only be 5 radar dishes present on the island.
Work Modes[]
- Clear the Airwaves: Jams and disrupts communications on the island, causing subversive activities to happen less often.
- Search for Aliens: Scans the skies looking for any extraterrestrial signals. This academic task improves relations with the Intellectuals by 5 for each radar dish set to it, up to a maximum of 25.
- Sell Spy Information: Obtains and deciphers secret information between countries, then sells them to the highest bidder. Every September, the island will earn some money based on the professor's skill.
Radio[]
