Modern Times is the fourth and final Era in Tropico 5 After the Cold War Era.
This is the last time period in the game. During this Era, all buildings and edicts (although some of them still have to researched) are available. Also during this period, all of the superpowers have given up on their Military and only uses their Military for self-defense. The USA, however, still has its grand military and can still invade Tropico if the island has bad relations with them. However, it is reduced.
