The Commandos are Tropico's Special Forces. They're well trained, professional, and El Presidente's most loyal soldiers, and will defend the country in the event of an invasion, uprising or coup. They can garrison the Palace (if upgraded from the colonial Elite Infantry) in the World Wars Era, and the Defense HQ from the Cold War Era onward.
The Defense HQ commandos can be upgraded to Special Forces in the Modern Era.
Their effectiveness can be raised temporarily by issuing the Military Drills edict.
Physical appearance
Commandos are dressed in gray camouflage pattern military clothes, helmet and bulletproof vest of the same colors and pattern, plus black army boots and belt. Their equipment consist of an M16A2 assault rifle along with two ammunition pouches.
